In 2014, NBC Sports Group announced that the Iowa Native had signed a multi-year deal to serve as the host of the station's upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup and XFINITY series, pre and post-race coverage. She was set to begin in 2015. Also, she was to include appearances as host of NASCAR America on NBC Sports Network.

I was told NBC would no longer be utilizing a host for their NASCAR programming, and unfortunately, they didn't envision me fulfilling other roles with the network.

In September 2012, the mother of one reported that Aaron Pieratt, a crew member of David Gilliland, had been involved in an accident after the NASCAR race in Atlanta. The accident happened when teams were draining cool down machines post-race. With wet shoes, Aaron slipped and fell while loading the car 15 feet above. Had he not landed on a tire dolly, his injuries would have been worse.
