SA reacts to Ndlozi's praise for Mantashe

Netizens have raised Mantashe for making an impact after he assumed the acting police role. However, people noticed Ndlozi's sudden and suspicious support for ANC politicians.

Below are the reactions from social media users:

@XFactor079 slammed:

"Tweaking for ANC leaders. How the mighty have fallen."

@Zani_Baccaria said:

"Buy your way back, my brother. It will be good to have you there as long as you don't get corrupt like them, which is highly difficult."

@Nellmphoo laughed:

"Just go back to politics, join the ANC, brother. Politics is in your blood and iceboy spirit because what is this? Don't block me. I love you. No hard feelings, but ulavha posooooo!"

@NguneziSy20672 replied:

"He is very busy this week as he is collecting them from their homes one by one, and no rush. Hats off."

The latest in DJ Sumbody's case

It seems as though justice is finally going to be served in the murder of Amapiano muso and business owner DJ Sumbody. At the start of this week, the South African Police Service (SAPS) made four arrests of his murder.

Of the four, the mastermind and three hitmen were apprehended and are scheduled to make their first court appearance. What is more alarming is that the alleged mastermind is also connected to a previous assassination.

In a press briefing, National police spokesperson, Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, revealed that the three hitmen and the alleged mastermind made their first court appearance on Tuesday, 22 July 2025, at the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court. The suspects face three counts of murder for the deaths of DJ Sumbody and his two bodyguards, Sibusiso Mokoena and Sandile Myeza.
