Despite being announced as part of Metro FM’s revamped lineup, Dineo Ranaka has been attempting to establish The Dineo Ranaka Show on her YouTube channel. The renowned personality, who launched a steamy podcast on MacG’s Podcast and Chill Network after her Kaya FM exit, shared that her podcasting journey has not been smooth sailing.

On Thursday, 14 August 2025, social media user @ThisIsColbert shared a snippet of Dineo Ranaka opening up about her struggle to get an audience to watch her new project, The Dineo Ranaka Show.

In the snippet, Dineo, who had millions listening to her on the radio, revealed that she is now struggling for an audience on her own YouTube channel.

The radio personality, who previously opened up about her mental health struggles, revealed that she was trying to go live on YouTube in an attempt to get more people to watch her videos. She believed that it might be her best bet because she’s brilliant at radio broadcasting, which is live, and she’s also brilliant on live TV.

“On YouTube, on YouTube and Facebook, and I figured out that you know what, going live might be my best bet because I'm brilliant at radio broadcasting and that's live and I'm brilliant at TV broadcasting, particularly also especially presenting shows when they are live, and now why not do lives on Facebook and YouTube and then maybe add Tiktok? Now here's a comment that I just came across: ‘What if we add another platform?’ Hmm, I'm gonna tell you about that now. So, the back story is live. I have to do it live. Prerecords don't work for me. Prerecords may work for other people. But a pre-record is definitely not going to work for me. At least when I'm done with the live, it saves it. So, anyone who would have missed it can watch it later. Thank you, technologia. Technologia,” she said.
