South African actor Siv Ngesi jumped to the defence of Zimbabweans after a netizen made a mean comment about them.

The exchange started on Monday, 2 March 2026, when an X (Twitter) user with the handle, @TatendaJokonya, criticised Proteas Test cricket captain Temba Bavuma’s commentary skills. The post was captioned:

“He is clearly out of his depth; how did he land this gig? Thin cricketing knowledge and lacks the vocal skills to be a good commentator.”
