Uzalo actress Nandipha Sefoloko is refusing to let her divorce define her. In a candid interview, the talented star spoke about how she has been managing her separation from Idols SA season 13 runner-up Mthokozisi Ndaba, making it clear that her focus is firmly on the future.
Nandipha, who earned widespread recognition after portraying the lead character in the Mzansi Magic film Luthando, was open about the emotional weight of the experience. However, she was equally clear that wallowing in pain was never an option she was willing to entertain.
Uzalo actress opens up about her divorce
"It's something we can't deny. Divorce is painful and very impactful mentally. But I understand that I still have a family that needs me. I have little lives that depend on me. So, I had to mentally prepare myself for anything. Instead of feeling sorry for myself, I had to wake up and make money. What I feel about the divorce doesn't matter. What matters is what I do about it," she said.

The actress credited her role as a mother as the driving force behind her decision to push forward rather than be consumed by grief. She said she made a deliberate choice to channel her energy into building a stable life for her children rather than dwelling on the breakdown of her marriage.
Nandipha's new business chapter
Beyond her acting career, Nandipha has been actively growing her entrepreneurial side. She recently launched Nandipha Beauty Salon in Durban's CBD and supplements her income through modelling campaigns for clothing labels and various products. She described her ambition as becoming fully financially independent, regardless of whatever life throws her way.
The actress said her desire to secure her own future, rather than proving a point to anyone else, is what truly motivates her. She also credited her faith in God as a source of strength during one of the most difficult periods of her life.
While allegations of verbal and physical abuse had previously surfaced in connection with the marriage's breakdown, Nandipha chose not to address those claims directly, keeping her sights set instead on rebuilding and growing. Her long-term dreams, she said, remain very much alive.
