Trevor Noah has announced that extra shows have been added to his upcoming Bafunny Bafunny South African tour, after fans clearly made their demand known.
The comedian posted a selfie-style video on X on Thursday, 27 August 2026, filmed outdoors on a gravel path surrounded by autumn trees. In his signature upbeat style, Noah revealed that Johannesburg would receive an additional show on 4 September, with Cape Town and Durban each also getting one more date added to the schedule.
"There's no more shows we can add, so thank you to everyone who's coming to the shows," he said in the clip, making clear the extended run had hit its limit.

Noah also gave fans a playful glimpse at the people joining him on stage. He teased that his friend Eugene Khoza could be part of the show, joking,

"Eugene might be there. I guess now we have to tell him about it. Now would be a good time."
The comedian who has been in the spotlight recently is Learnmore Jonasi, the Zimbabwean comic who made headlines after being sued by composer Lebo M, and he is among those confirmed for the lineup. Also joining Noah are Thabiso Comedian, Mondli Gudazi, Nonto R, Rory Petzer, Lindyyay, Panch Gasela, and Thabile Mhlongo.
Towards the end of the video, a friend off-camera jokingly suggested adding a show "at our house," to which Noah shot back, "No. Shut up."
