Actress Pearl Thusi's daughter, Thando Mokoena, recently had social media buzzing when she scored a role on hit teen drama Youngins.

Mokoena has joined the third and final season of the Showmax drama series with popular YouTuber Ghost Hlubi.

Showmax recently announced that the hit teen drama series Youngins was filming its third and final season.

Streaming platform Showmax confirmed on Friday, 12 September 2025, via Instagram that Thando Mokoena and Ghost Hlubi will be part of the 3rd and final season of Youngins.

Youngins season 3

The Showmax popular TV show is led by Amo, played by actress Ayakha Ntunja, who currently stars in popular isiXhosa telenovela Inimba, and Buhle, played by Kealeboga Masango, who stars in Mzansi Magic's Genesis.

Other cast members include Tumelo, played by Lebohang Lephatsoana, and Mahlatse, played by former The River actor Thabiso Ramotshela.

Rising star Toka Mtabane portrays the character of Khaya, while Generations: The Legacy star Tabile Tau portrays the role of Sefako. Newcomers Amogelang Telekelo and Kadia Banyini play the roles of Palesa and Mazambane.

Briefly News journalist Moroba Maepa got more insight into Khaya and Amo's relationship from Tota himself.

"The relationship, from Amo's side, was quite an impulsive decision. Khaya went in with the preconceived idea of, 'Okay, I finally got this girl, this is what is going to happen.' He is experienced, he's been with Buhle, and in other relationships.

"For Amo, this is her first relationship, and she's trying to figure it out. So they are clashing in some ways, internally. With the real Amo, he thinks, 'I might have had the wrong idea about what was going to happen.' The threshold where a boy becomes a man, you have to ask yourself questions that no one else can answer but you. So Khaya is stuck with that. What do relationships mean to him? Is it about sex? Is it about love? People should stay tuned for that."
