Solomon Islands beefed up its police force's hardware with a donation on Friday of water cannons from China, days after it received guns from Australia. At a ceremony in the capital Honiara Friday led by Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare, China handed over two water cannon trucks, 30 motorbikes and 20 SUVs to the Solomons' police force.

Red Bull named on Friday a board of three directors to lead the energy drink giant following the death of Austrian founder Dietrich Mateschitz. "As proposed and desired by both my father and myself, and supported by our Thai partners, a board of directors will manage the business affairs of Red Bull," Mateschitz' only son, Mark Mateschitz, said in a letter to employees disseminated to media.
