How to apply to Ikhala TVET College

Below is a guide for the Ikhala TVET College online application:

  1. Go to the Ikhala TVET College website or student portal.
  2. You will see an advert for the open application. Tap on the “Click here to start” button.
  3. Go to step 1 and register on gostudy.net/ikhala to complete the Career Guidance Questionnaire.
  4. Complete the Literacy and Numeracy Skills Assessments.
  5. Once done, return to your college online application.
  6. Go to Step 2, and tap on the “click here to apply” button.
  7. On the next page, tap on the “Select a course” and “Register an account” buttons under New student.
  8. Select the academic year (e.g. 2025).
  9. Choose the program or course you want to study (e.g., NC(V) or business studies).
  10. Select the duration of the program. 
  11. Select the campus you are interested in. 
  12. Choose the study mode (e.g., full-time or part-time).
  13. Fill out the application form with the required information, including your contact information, highest qualification and year passed, and school subjects and marks.
  14. Create a username and password.
  15. Upload required documents (e.g. ID, results, next of kin ID).
  16. Submit your application.

The college was founded on 1 April 2002 from a merger of past technical colleges. Ikhala TVET College has five campuses located in communities of the Northern Region of the Eastern Cape in South Africa. These campuses are in Aliwal North, Ezibeleni, Queen Nonesi (Lady Frere), Komani, and Sterkspruit.
