ROODEPOORT, JOHANNESBURG — Murder accused Tiffany Meek's bail application continued at the Roodepoort Magistrates' Court on 23 May 2025. Her lawyer poked holes in the investigating officer's testimony and evidence, which led to her arrest two months after Jayden-Lee Meek was found dead on 11 May.
Meek appeared for the second day of her bail hearing. She was arrested on 11 July and accused of murdering Jayden-Lee Meek. She is also facing additional charges. Noven Nadoo, her lawyer, questioned the investigating officer, Sergeant Linda Duma. Naidoo pointed out that the security guard, Tiffanny, and the teacher gave different statements about what Jayden wore on the day he disappeared.

Naidoo also said that the occurrence book of the complex where they lived had missing entries. He noted that Tiffanty went to the guard and made an entry in the book at 5 p.m. and left her phone number. She told him to contact her if Jayden comes back, as she was on her way to the shop. However, Duma said that there was no record of the occurrence in the book.

Naidoo also said that there was a missing page from the occurrence book that Meek and her family wanted to take a picture of when his body was found. Duma said that he admittedly did not certify the copies before his court appearance.
Tiffany was arrested two months after her son's body was found at their complex in Fleurhof. She initially reported him missing and pleaded with the police to find those responsible for Jayden-Lee's death when his body was found. However, it's alleged that the police found evidence, including bloody clothing at the house, which led to her arrest.
