British oil giant Shell has paused transit through the key Red Sea shipping route indefinitely, over fears of escalating tensions involving Yemen's Huthi rebels, according to a media report Tuesday. The oil major's decision comes after Britain's BP said in December that it would suspend transit of oil through the Red Sea.

German car rental group Sixt said Tuesday it has agreed to buy up to 250,000 cars from automaker Stellantis in a "multi-billion euro" deal that includes electric vehicles. Stellantis groups 14 brands including Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Fiat, Opel and Jeep.

A German company is seeking to use the exposure generated by the Paris Olympics to overcome the opposition of local politicians and demonstrate that flying taxis can serve the French capital. Volocopter hopes that by being certified in Paris -- which has some of the strictest regulations for over-flights -- it can prove that flying taxis aren't just science fiction gimmicks.
