The South African Police Service has thwarted a robbery in progress by five alleged criminals. Two young suspects aged 17 and 18 were arrested by the police.
The SAPS has successfully foiled an attempted truck hijacking. The police challenged the suspects and a shootout ensured leaving four dead and four wounded.
Hawks seized 541kg of cocaine from a KwaZulu-Natal depot. The drugs have an estimated street value of around R243m and were found after intel was provided.
