South African DJ and radio personality Lamiez Holworthy-Morule shared a wholesome video dancing with her dad, Sello Chicco Twala.
On 11 November 2025, she posted videos from a traditional Xitsonga ceremony known as Nhlawulo, surrounded by close friends and family members, who attended the celebration in her honour and even joined the viral "I'm not the birthday girl" trend.
Nhlawulo refers to a cultural payment ceremony made in cases involving relationships or pregnancies outside of formal lobola or marriage arrangements, and is recognised in several South African cultures, including Sepedi and Setswana.
Though she hasn’t shared details about the event, the video shows her meeting family members before changing into traditional Xitsonga attire, with bright Xibelani skirts fluttering as they danced, honouring her paternal lineage.

However, according to Lamiez, no moment could top her wholesome dance with her dad. She posted a TikTok video on Sunday, 16 November, dancing to Twala's legendary Umbala Ma G-String, originally used as the Muvhango theme song. Lamiez described the moment as a blessing.
"Blessings I do not take for granted. In the end, I’m just a girl."

This wouldn't be the first time Twala attended one of Lamiez's ceremonies. He was front and centre when the DJ and her husband, Khuli Chana, hosted a luxurious Christening celebration for their son Leano Laone.
While Chicco was reportedly not present during Lamiez's upbringing, he appears to have made up for lost time. The Metro FM DJ was raised by her mom and stepfather, who loved her "so much," according to a 2020 Twitter (X) post. He sadly passed away in 2019.
