Trevor Noah is a South African comedian, writer, producer, political commentator, actor and former television host. He hosted The Daily Show, a late-night talk show on Comedy Central, from 2015 to 2022.
He has received various awards, including a Primetime Emmy Award out of 11 nominations. He published his autobiographical comedy book, Born a Crime, in 2016.
Career
Noah started his career in South Africa in 2002. He had several hosting roles with the SABC and came second in the 4th season of South Africa’s version of Strictly Come Dancing in 2008. He created the late-night talk show Tonight with Trevor Noah from 2010 to 2011 on M-Net. In 2014, Noah became the Senior International Correspondent for The Daily Show. In 2015 took over from Jon Stewart as the host. He hosted the 63rd, the 64th and the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, as well as the 2022 White House Correspondents Dinner.

Personal life
Noah was born to a black Xhosa mother and a white Swiss-German father during apartheid in South Africa. His parents’ interracial relationship was illegal when he was born, and he faced discrimination and violence growing up. He has two half-brothers named Andrew and Isaac Shingange. His mother was shot by his stepfather in 2009 but survived.
Noah dated several women over the years, including South African physiotherapist Dani Gabriel from 2014 to 2015, American singer Jordyn Taylor from 2015 to 2018, model Minka Kelly from 2020 to 2021. He does not have any children.
