Eazy-E gained fame as the founder and leader of the influential rap group N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes), alongside Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren, and DJ Yella. Through N.W.A, Eazy-E brought raw, unfiltered stories of urban life to mainstream audiences with groundbreaking albums like Straight Outta Compton.
His controversial lyrics and unapologetic style earned him both acclaim and criticism. Beyond his music, Eazy-E also established Ruthless Records, which became a significant force in hip-hop.

Tragically, Eazy-E passed away on 26 March 1995 at the age of 30 due to complications from AIDS. Despite his untimely death, his legacy continues to influence the hip-hop world.
Eazy-E's children and baby mothers
Eazy-E was survived by his wife, Tomica Woods Wright, and his children. But how many children did Eazy-E have? Before his untimely death, the rapper fathered eleven children, two of whom were named after him—Lil Eazy-E and Ebie. Here is a closer look at all Eazy E's kids.
1. Eric Darnell Wright
Eric Darnell Wright, known as Lil Eazy, is the eldest of Eazy-E's children. He was born on 23 April 1984 in Compton, California, and is 40 years old as of January 2025.
Eazy E's son has carved a niche as a rapper and is the president of Rich & Ruthless Records, an entertainment and business company co-founded by his late dad. His popular hits include Crushing Through, You Don't Wanna and Unbelievable.
2. Marquise Wright
Marquise Wright is a famous musician known by his stage name, Yung Eazy. He was born on 14 February 1990 in Compton, California. Marquise caused a stir after alleging on Instagram, in a now-deleted post, that Suge Knight caused his father's death by injecting him with HIV.
3. Ebie Wright
Erin Bria Wright is his eldest daughter. She was born on 16 July 1991 in Compton, California. Erin legally changed her name to Ebie. She actively pursues a music career like her late father, and her best-selling hits include Dear Daddy, What I Wanna Do and Girl Crush.
Ebie was just four years old when her father passed away. In a 2019 interview with Flaunt Magazine, she described being Eazy-E's daughter as "bittersweet," noting that her memories of him were limited to simply knowing him as "being my dad." She also added:
Being my dad’s daughter, it’s very bittersweet. He did pass away when I was really young, I was 4 years old. What I do remember being around him is really just him being my dad. It’s not like I knew at that age he was going to be some legendary rapper or he’d have such an impact on people.
I remember just having a lot of fun with him, spending a lot of time in his office. I spent a lot of time in his office. Just him coming home late at night, lots of my memories are him kissing me on my forehead in the middle of the night.
Because I do completely different music, I don’t really like that stigma of “you’re Eazy-E’s daughter, you have to be this certain type of artist.” I’ve gotten that for many years. I’m really trying to break away from being Eazy-E’s daughter, I really just want to be EBIE.
I want to get to the point where people don’t know at all and they find out: “oh, Eazy-E happens to be her dad.” Not that EBIE is Eazy-E’s daughter thing. I don’t want to push that first. It doesn’t really give my music a chance because you’re already expecting me to be a rapper or to do strictly urban music.
Eazy E's daughter was also asked about the origin of her name, Ebie, and she explained:
So my real name is Erin Bria Wright, but I’ve basically been called EBIE my entire life. My grandmother gave me the name EBIE so it’s obviously my first and middle initial, then she ended up spelling it out E-B-I-E. Most of my life, it was just E.B. But every birthday card, Christmas card, my grandmother signed it EBIE. A couple years ago I actually changed my name to honor her. It’s actually 10 years this month since my grandmother passed away, so that’s my ode to her.
4. Dominick Wright
Dominick Wright was born on 6 September 1991 in Los Angeles, California. He is an acclaimed actor famous for playing Curtis in the 2015 movie Mistaken and a model.
5. Daijah Wright
Daijah Wright is Dominick's sister. She was born on 26 September 1995, six months after her father's demise. Daijah is an American actress, singer, and rapper. Her most famous TV feature is the third season of Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.
6. Derek Wright
Derek is professionally known as E3 or Baby Eazy-E. He is a professional rapper who discovered his talent when he was eight and was lucky to appear in his father's music videos.
He is the vice president of Compton Money Gang and has released songs such as Son of a Legend, West Coast, See Me and Believe Me. In 2022, Eric and Derek released a joint EP, Sons of Legends, with rapper Kwayke.
7. Henree Chereron Wright
Henree, professionally known as ReeMarkable, is Eazy-E's daughter. She was born on 13 April 1993 in Atlanta, Georgia. Henree is a rapper featured in Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta.
On 7 September 2024, Henree joyfully announced the birth of her son, Hendrix Jru Boone. The date held profound significance as it coincided with her father's 60th birthday.
To honour the occasion, Henree organized a special photo shoot, recreating an iconic image of her dad. Speaking to People after her son's birth, Henree shared:
We thought about this back in July. We were talking about maybe recreating different studio sessions with different artists. And [fiancé Derrty Mula] was like, ‘Wouldn’t it have been cool if they would have documented studio sessions more back in day?' and I thought about it. Later that night, one of the sessions that was recorded from my dad just popped into my head.
She added:
My dad was a Virgo and my due date was always in Virgo season, just later. I never thought he would be born on my dad's birthday. I didn't want to cry!
Henree further shared that her father was a "very creative person," adding that she believes the photos "would be something he would have been really proud of.
My dad was a very creative person. People don't really know but he had so much on his mind when it came to the music business, but he was also into so much other creative stuff. I feel like I get my creative side from him, so I think it would be something he would have been really proud of.
Putting the baby in that outfit and having him dress in the jacket and hat, it was so cute. It’s just came in full circle, like a little gift that I feel like my dad just gave me ... his way of saying, 'Hey, I'm still here.' It's just been so emotional for me on the positive side, and it makes me realize I can embrace my family and get back to my creative side.

Eazy-E's wife has two children, Dominick and Daijah. The rapper's other baby mamas include Kelly Faultersack Robinson and Tracy Jarnagin.
What happened to Eazy-E's wife?
Upholding her late husband's legacy and managing his record label proved challenging for Tomica Woods-Wright. She faced lawsuits from individuals claiming a share of the company and encountered difficulties running the label despite her close ties to its former CEO.
In 2015, she produced the biographical drama Straight Outta Compton, which received critical acclaim but elicited mixed reactions from Eazy-E's children.
Ebie, Eazy-E's daughter, told Essence that while she found the film to be an "incredible" portrayal, she hoped to create a documentary about her father's life to delve deeper into his story.
For the most part, it definitely gets the story out there. You know my generation is not really familiar with Eazy-E and N.W.A and where they came from and how they started and what all they accomplished and what they did and what they had to go through
I’m really excited for everyone to learn that, but I just felt like there were a lot of pivotal moments of my dad’s life that were left out. I am working on a documentary that is … going to touch on a lot of my dad’s life and a lot of things that they didn’t show in the movie, but mainly focus on the scandal surrounding his death and what happened afterwards.
Eazy-E's son, Eric Wright Jr., initially auditioned to play his father in the movie, but the role was ultimately given to Jason Mitchell. In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Eric expressed support for the filmmakers' decision.
Jason has come to my grandmother’s house where I was born and raised, where my father was born and raised and where N.W.A started. I reached out to him to give him the support and any advice he needs. He has a big burden on his shoulders to bring forth the character and legacy of my father and the legacy of N.W.A, period.
However, Eric acknowledged some inaccuracies in the film. Speaking to VladTV in 2016, he noted discrepancies, particularly regarding his father's wealth, which he claimed were "not true." Despite this, he remained positive about the movie, saying:
You can point out a lot [of discrepancies], but it was a great movie,” the rapper said. “It was made for the screen, the big screen.
